Modular Construction Design System

In the modern age, Architectural drawings have evolved from manual paper drawings to modern software solutions. Software such as AutoCAD simplified the process but this demanded specialized knowledge. We aimed to design a user-friendly tool that allows anyone to create detailed architectural plans, regardless of expertise. This software could be used to design new modular buildings or renovate existing ones with essential information such as full construction views, dimensions, elevation and sectional views, space plans, and material details for components like windows, doors, and roofs.

Developing this application for the commercial industry posed several challenges. Standardizing diagrams to reduce construction costs and improve quality was a critical requirement. The application’s complexity demands extensive domain knowledge and technological expertise, which many businesses may not have. Another key challenge was ensuring the application’s quality while minimizing resource utilization. The application must also be scalable and compatible with any device across different platforms and locations.

To address the challenges, Softnotions worked closely with clients to acquire the necessary domain knowledge for the development process. We created a 3D-view application designed to be compatible with any device. With basic 3D knowledge, the application became easy to handle and portable.
